Superintendent’s Message
Dear Rootstown Community,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Superintendent of Rootstown Local Schools. Rootstown is a special place, and I am proud to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and engaged community. Together, we share a common goal: ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, succeed, and reach their full potential.
Our mission, “Rootstown Schools, in collaboration with the community, will provide a quality education in a safe environment for students to become productive, life-long learners,” serves as the foundation for everything we do. As we begin this new school year, our motto, “One Team. One Purpose. Every Student Grows.” reflects our shared commitment to working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of every student. When our staff, families, students, and community unite around a common purpose, we create opportunities for all students to thrive.
Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or through extracurricular activities, our students are encouraged to think critically, act responsibly, build meaningful relationships, and develop the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. We remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.
As we continue to build on Rootstown’s strong traditions, I encourage everyone to stay connected, get involved, and partner with us throughout the year. Each of us plays an important role in helping our students grow, and together, we can ensure that every student has the support and opportunities needed to succeed.
