Principal’s Message
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
As we enter December, I want to extend warm wishes to all of our Rover families. This season brings many meaningful moments to our school, and I’m grateful for your continued support.
Thank you for your generosity this fall. Your canned-good donations—nearly 3,500 items—made a significant impact, and your contributions to the 23rd Veteran organization were truly appreciated.
On November 10th and 11th, we valued the opportunity to honor our local heroes during our Veterans Day breakfast, drive-thru parade and Hero Hike. We raised over $8,000!
On November 13, it was wonderful seeing so many families at Rover Family Night. Our students and parents enjoyed the activities, food, and time together as a family. Tadaa the Magician was a huge hit with students earlier in the day!
Looking ahead, students are excited for several upcoming events: our Santa Shop (week of December 8), the 2nd and 4th Grade Winter Concert on December 10, and our holiday parties on December 19—always a joyful highlight of the season.
As we wrap up 2025, I wish each of you a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year. Here’s to a healthy, happy, and successful 2026 for all!
Reminders:
Bridge Builders continues on Wednesdays until December 17th. (No Bridge Builders Nov. 26!)
Please remember to call the attendance line or email the attendance email for absences, lateness, etc.
Please send a note in to your student’s teacher if they are being picked up early.
Winter is approaching quickly! Please make sure your child is coming to school with proper outerwear as the temperatures are dropping. (coats, hats, gloves, etc.) Please refer to our “Weather Rules” flyer posted o Facebook and ParentSquare.
We appreciate the strong partnership between home and school. If you ever have academic or other concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to reach out to his/her teacher. Together, we can provide the best support for our students to succeed.
Thank you for your continued involvement and encouragement. I look forward to another great month at Rootstown Elementary!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Turner
Principal
