As a proud Purple Star District, supporting our military-connected students is something we truly value. On February 20, we were honored to receive the State of Ohio MIC3 & Purple Star School Challenge Coin. In military culture, a Challenge Coin represents belonging and excellence. Receiving this recognition means our district has reached the “Gold Standard” in supporting military-connected students during transitions, deployments, and beyond.

We were grateful to host State MIC3 Commissioner Pete LuPiba, founder of the Purple Star program, to talk about additional ways we can continue to support our military families. Thank you to the families who joined us and special thanks to Ryann Kavali/committee for their efforts organizing our district events supporting the military.

Welcome to Rootstown Elementary School!

At Rootstown Elementary, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day. Our school is a place where students are encouraged to grow academically, build meaningful relationships, and discover their unique talents and interests.

We are proud of the caring and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to create engaging learning experiences and foster a positive school culture. We know that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success, and we value the trust our families place in us each day.

Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where students are challenged to reach their full potential while developing the confidence, responsibility, and character needed to become lifelong learners and positive members of our community.

This website is designed to keep our families informed and connected. Here you will find important information, upcoming events, and resources to support your child’s educational journey.
