Principal’s Message

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students: 

February is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month, and I’m looking forward to all that the second semester has in store. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff—it truly means a lot!

Here are a few important dates and updates to keep in mind:

• Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, February 12, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. We appreciate the time you take to partner with us in supporting your child’s learning.
• A 2026–27 Kindergarten Parent Meeting will be held on February 12 from 4:00–4:30 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria.
• Report cards were posted on January 23, and MAP and AR scores were sent home that same day with applicable students. Please take time to review them and reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.
• Valentine’s Day classroom parties will also be held on February 12. Each classroom may have two volunteers, and your child’s teacher will share additional details.
• We would like to wish Mrs. Rader, our Attendance Secretary, the very best as she transitions to her new role as High School Secretary. We are grateful for the dedication and care she has shown our elementary school.
• We are also excited to welcome Michele Diacontonas as our new Elementary Attendance Secretary. Please join us in making her feel welcome.
• There will be no school for students on Friday, February 13, as staff will participate in professional development.
• No school on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
• Our next PTA meeting will be held on February 10 at 6:00 p.m. Prior to the meeting, I will host our first Parent Book Club at 5:30 p.m. in Room 5 for parents who signed up in January.
• Towards the end of the month our EL students will be completing their annual OELPA testing. More information will be sent to those families soon with more details.
