Elementary School Updates

Principal’s Message

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:

It is hard to believe we are already into October! September was a busy month, and I want to take a moment to share a few important updates.

On September 30th, our students and staff participated in a Lockdown Drill as part of our school safety procedures. I am very proud of how seriously our students approached the drill and how smoothly it was carried out. The Sheriff’s Department and NEOMED Police were impressed with our students. These safety practices are an important part of ensuring we are prepared in the event of an emergency.

Reminders:

Bridge Builders began Wednesday, October 8th

Mad Science began Thursday, October 9th

October 16th is the 1st Grade Field Trip and the Kindergarten Field trip on the 30th!

Parent–Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 23rd, and Thursday, November 6th, from 4:00–8:30 PM. Teachers have been working with families to schedule times, and we look forward to meeting with all parents. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and set goals for the year.

With report cards coming up next month, please be sure to reach out to our office for your student’s ProgressBook Registration Key if you have not signed up for that yet.

We appreciate the strong partnership between home and school. If you ever have academic or other concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to reach out to his/her teacher. Together, we can provide the best support for our students to succeed.
