Test Prep
ACT Prep
Visit the Varsity Tutors website to create an account and register for the ACT. The Rootstown High School code is 364455. Students should take the exam WITH writing at least one time. Fee waivers are available for Juniors and Seniors that qualify for free/reduced lunch through Rootstown Local Schools- please see Mrs. Ganzhorn for details.
Mrs. Ganzhorn conducts an ACT Bootcamp in the Fall and in the Winter. If you are interested, please watch for the flyers sent home.
SAT Prep

PSAT
The PSAT (preliminary SAT) is offered to all Sophomores and Juniors on October 10, 2019. The PSAT is the national merit qualifying exam for Juniors. If you are interested in having your son or daughter take this exam, please see Mrs. Ganzhorn.
College Visits
Campus Visits: Seniors are allowed three excused absences this year to take official college visits, Juniors have two. Students taking a college visit need to let Mrs. Ganzhorn know prior to their absence and have the colleges complete the RHS college visit form.
College Representative Meetings: Colleges will be coming to RHS to visit with our students this fall. Juniors and Seniors can, with teacher permission, sign-up to meet with up to three colleges. Students should sign-up at least one day in advance in the Counseling Office.
Transcript Requests
Current student requests should be made to Mrs. Scott in the Counseling Office. Please allow up to two business days for processing.
RHS Alumni can have transcripts mailed to colleges and/or employers OR prepared for pick-up. Please allow up to two business days for processing, there is a $3.00 charge per transcript.
Counseling Services
Academic, Personal/Social, and Post-Secondary guidance is available with Mrs. Ganzhorn.
Coleman Behavioral Health counselors are also at Rootstown High School. Referral forms for counseling services are available in the main office of the high school, or by contacting Mrs. Ganzhorn in the Counseling Office.

Local scholarship opportunities will be posted on NAVIANCE. If you need assistance with your NAVIANCE account, please see Mrs. Ganzhorn or Mrs. Scott.
